Why do we recommend practising healthy, beneficial habits for your body while wearing a technical base layer?
The base layer is an insulating layer that keeps you warm.
It also absorbs moisture, keeping you dry by wicking away perspiration.
The base layer helps your body naturally regulate its temperature, keeping it at 37°C during exercise in both cold and warm weather.
The base layer dries very quickly. It can therefore continue wicking away perspiration over long periods so that you can practise your sport comfortably for longer.
A word from the design team
After listening to your needs, we found a suitable solution for intermediate footballers. At the heart of the action, the game speeds up and your playing intensity is constantly changing. Your clothing should be ultra breathable to regulate your temperature during intensive phases in the game. The base layer should also be close-fitting to quickly absorb perspiration while keeping your body warm.
Material
This base layer is made by weaving together polyester thread (67%) for perspiration wicking and polyamid thread (30%) for improved softness and odour management. By pairing these two threads with elastane, you benefit from optimal comfort and a snug fit.
Temperature regulation
Together, the material and Seamless technology ensure excellent thermal regulation for playing in intense football conditions without getting cold.
Pairing it with your match jersey
The colour palette makes it easy to pair with your match T-shirt and shorts to meet match officiating standards.

A rating to compare the environmental impact of products
The environmental impacts of the product are calculated across its entire lifecycle and using various indicators. An overall rating (ABCDE) is given, allowing you to easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing similar products to each other (T-shirts, bottoms, backpacks etc.).
Decathlon openly displays the environmental ratings of its products.
