I have had this bike around 9 months and from the start I’ve had problems with the chain. I took it back after three months to get everything tightened up. Then the chain chinked, took it back and it was replaced. It’s now doing the same again, and when I stand up it chunks and throws me forward. It’s extremely frustrating, making it difficult going up hill, and now it won’t change into first gear, so I’m having to use second and third all the time, making it difficult going up steep hills. All these problems are very frustrating as I don’t live around the corner from the shop to just keep nipping in every week when there’s a problem and I haven’t got money to just waste. Awful bike.
I'm sorry to read about the shifting issues with your bike. All of the parts are commonly found on other brands therefore is sounds as if the derailleurs may need adjusting as well as the cable tension. As long as you don't shift under pressure (ease off a little each time) then no clucking or jamming should occur. It may be worth further investigation by your local store.

Could be cheaper, could be made with better materials and the people who make and sell them paid more. But apart from that it is not bad at all. Buy again, yes if I could afford it.
After purchasing my bike and leaving the store, I noticed the 2 stickers on the left side suspension fork were scratched/damaged as well as scratches on the paintwork. As this was the display bike that they only had in stock I had the choice to have this bike or wait a few days and get another one which I would have had to order but as this was for my birthday on the 10th of January and persuasion from my dad that he could fix it I decided to keep it but I am not entirely happy that with it being brand new and display model that it has scratches on it. I feel has happened during the process of removing the bike from the display rack or checking the bike over/handling the bike in store. I can send images to yourself to show you but would need an email address for this. I am not sure if this can be resolved but I thought with an email explaining what has happened then at least it has been reported. Otherwise apart from this I am really happy with the bike and i understand overtime it will get scratches etc but first purchasing a bike it should be immaculate and have no sticker damage or scratches. Thank you for your time. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Bough this bike as a birthday present for my 11yr old son. After much research I settled on the Rockrider 540 as it was a far better specced bike than any of the "named" brands that were in the region of £100-£150 more expensive.
My son loves it. So much so that he got quite upset the first time it got dirty on a ride.
A good spec' d bike for around £150 less than similar bikes.
Well equipped and set up ready to go. Happy to recommend it. Nice touch to include a front light. Good selection of gears should take on most hills etc.
Guy in the shop surprised me when he said to try my son on the large and XL frames, but was spot on. I think he could see how tall he was where I still see a little boy. So after getting the correct size sorted added on mud guards and it has been a great bike used daily, even when you could walk just as easily.
... so far so good
Been using for last few weeks. Mainly on roads . Nice bike more stable than my road bike
got this for my son and he loves it. great spec with disc brakes. only reason it is not 5 stars is that it is on the heavy side, although probably right at this price point.
