Abrasion and friction resistance test: for example, we check that the fleeces do not pill using tests conducted in the laboratory. Colour fastness test: we check colour fastness to ensure that colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Ageing test: repeated washing must not alter the fabric's original properties, including its shape, thickness or appearance.

Decathlon is the first French company to implement environmental ratings. These ratings has been developed with the ADEME (French Environment and Energy Management Agency) as well as other French companies. Store folded or on a hanger in a clean, dry place.

We carry out 2 types of thermal testing: - either a test of the material of our fleeces. - or on a thermal dummy in a thermal chamber. We reproduce the temperature, wind (5 km/h) and humidity conditions that you would encounter in the mountains walking at 5 km/h. These tests are used to validate our design choices. So we can adapt our thermal insulation to where you most need it.
