We use 90% recycled wadding for this padded jacket. The wadding filling provides 3 appealing qualities for hiking: - it has good thermal insulation capacity, even when wet - it provides some breathability and may be recommended in the case of dynamic activity (feather down is recommended for static activity) - compressibility: wadding filling is highly compressible

This functional feature is obtained by applying a hydrophobic treatment to the fabric. This process prevents water from sticking to the fabric, causing it to "slide" off without being absorbed. As a result, the garment remains lightweight, breathable and warm. The effectiveness of the treatment can be restored during the product's lifetime. Use sprays that are applied to the outside, rather than additives used when washing the garment, which can damage the product's breathability.

Decathlon is the first French company to implement environmental ratings. These ratings has been developed with the ADEME (French Environment and Energy Management Agency) as well as other French companies.
