BTwin 500 Cycle Computer
Used for More than 2 years
I had this product for several years and never had any problems with it. Recorded accurately and was robust enough for general cycling. Unfortunately, after an accident, the sensor attached to the forks was lost and it does not seem possible to obtain a replacement. Perhaps somebody knows otherwise.
So so
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I liked the price and the in store comparison sheet said it showed temperature which would be pretty handy for mountain biking. It doesn't show temperature. The sensor generally needs to be lined up with the magnet EVERY ride. Even if it's just been in the garage. When it works it's decent enough. Normally pretty close to Strava. Went over the bars the other day and broke the little bit of plastic that joins the unit to the mount. Currently improvising a mount with the rubber bit that goes on the back of the mount, double sided tape and a silicon band. The whole thing really isn't robust enough for mountain biking even when I manage to stay on the bike.

I got this two weeks ago and have used it only a few times on my bike. However, while I was cycling today though some bumps, the computer fell of and the plastic pieces at the back of the main body was broken. The design is clearly flawed and the computer was never securely connected to the holder. Then I called to ask if this situation is covered by the warranty, only to receive an ice-cold "no", referring to my problem as my own "mistake." What can I say about this fragile product with awful build quality and the poor customer service unlike the advertised rosy "365 day return" ? I've been a loyal customer for Decathlon for a few years and because of this incident I will not step into another one of Decathlon store's door. Congrats Decathlon, you just lost another customer.
Response of the brand
Thank you for taking the time to post a review of the cycle computer. I'm unsure what happened or why it fell off.
Could you tell me which store you bought your item from and which store refused the return?

doesn’t connect
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I now need to take this back into the store, having set it up it fails to connect regardless of having reviewed the fitting instructions on you tube to ensure it’s not user error
I’m sure that when it works it’s a great bit of kit just need it to work first
Hard to fit on fat handlebars, and doesn't work!
Used for 1 week or less
On a road bike with "fat handlebars" it is very difficult to get the unit attached as the expanding band is not intended to reach that far. But it can be achieved - just - after a lot of effort. No point doing the set up until it's attached to the bike, as it's far too easy to keep pressing the reset function, meaning it has to be re-done.

But, after all that it did not work - i.e. the screen works, but does not pick up the speed from the remote. So it's going back to the store.
Response of the brand
I'm sorry to read that the sensor did not function correctly. We have a new model which has been totally redesigned which attaches to the rear hub using a completely different interface, frequency and fixing mechanism: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/500-wireless-cyclometer-id_8382192.html
A vastly improved product.
